Itinerary:

 Day 1, arrive Split, Saturday

You will be transferred from Split’s airport or your Split hotel to harbor, where embarkation begins at noon. Get settled in your cabin before attending a Welcome Reception this evening. (WR)

 Day 2, Split – Bol – Stari Grad, Sunday

Morningguided walking tour of Split shows us the historic inner city, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. See the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, it’s Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral. Set sail towards Bol, a small town on Island Brac, for a swim at the Golden Horn. Enjoy the 1740-foot-long golden pebble beach, said to be the best in Croatia. It is unique in that it changes shape and position depending on the winds. Afterwards head to Hvar, one of the most popular islands in the Adriatic and a meeting point for the international jet-set. The “Croatian Madeira” is also one of the longest islands stretching along the shores of Croatia. Spend evening and night at Stari Grad, one of the oldest towns in Europe. (B, L)

 Day 3, Stari Grad – Hvar – Vis, Monday

Quick sail towards town of Hvar for a sightseeing tour featuring the first public theatre in Europe (older than Shakespeare’s theatre in the UK), the Franciscan Monastery and many more historical sights. Cruise towards Island of Vis. The town Vis, the antiqueIssa, was founded around 397 B.C. Our tour of Vis features the town’s waterfront. Evening at leisure.  (B, L)

 Day 4, Vis – Vela Luka, Tuesday

After breakfast set sail for Korcula Island, thought to be the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. Our port of call for the day is Vela Luka (the “big harbor”) town, dating back to pre-historic times. After lunch onboard, disembark in Vela Luka and depart for an afternoon ‘Korcula island tour’, featuring the visit of the olive oil factory, Barilo ethno museum and local wineryto taste some local wine and cheese. Return to your ship, for evening at leisure. (B, L)

Day 5, Vela Luka – Korcula, Wednesday

There will be some time for swimming before we continue our cruise, heading for Korcula town. Take a walking tour through its narrow, cobbled streets and visit the majestic Gothic Baroque Cathedral of St. Mark. Your evening is free to discover the town and enjoy dinner on your own at one of many local restaurants. (B, L)

 Day 6, Korcula – Mljet, Thursday

Today weset sail for Mljet Island. Mljet National Parkfeatures five types of forest, many species of birds, and two deep lakes, Veliko Jezero (Big Lake) and Malo Jezero (Small Lake). This lovely island was supposedly a favorite holiday spot for the Greek hero Ulysses! Captain’s dinnerwith live entertainment aboard our ship tonight. (B, L, D)

 Day 7, Mljet – Dubrovnik, Friday

In the morning sail to Dubrovnik, so called “Pearl of the Adriatic”, a UNESCO World Heritage site. While in Dubrovnik, take a walking tour of the old town and visit the Rector’s Palaceand Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy. Remainder of the day is free; perhaps discover this lovely city on own. (B, L)

 Day 8, depart Dubrovnik, Saturday

After breakfast it’s time to disembark. You will be transferred to Dubrovnik airport or your hotel. (B)
